Travel Insurance
Insurance may protect you financially if you cancel
your trip at the last minute or if you become
ill or were injured during your trip.
Travel
insurance is recommended for Nahanni trips
and is available through the Black Feather
office. Coverage is provided by TIC
Travel Insurance Coordinators Ltd.
Canadian Residents
We recommend the 'Non-USA Plan - All Inclusive Package Plan' which includes extended medical coverage and trip cancellation and interruption coverage.
Essentially the policy pays for any fees not refunded if you cancel for a list of risks including you, a travelling companion or a family member becoming ill, injured or dying. The extended medical coverage includes mountain rescue and evacuation, and air ambulance. You are not covered for pre-existing conditions.

About 5% of the amount
covered.

Visitors to Canada
We offer an Emergency Hospital & Medical coverage plan and a Trip Cancellation & Interruption plan. These plans are sold separately but many people buy both. You are not covered for pre-existing conditions.
The Emergency Hospital & Medical plan covers a variety of health care costs over and above any insurance that you may already have, including air ambulance and mountain evacuation.
Cost:
Approximately $ 3.30 CAD/ day depending on your
age.

How to Apply for Travel Insurance
Just check off the box at the bottom of Page (1) of the application form or contact
us for a quote. We will require your date of birth. Insurance should be purchased
at the time or shortly after you apply for your trip.
